Re: [FWDLK] repairs

The rear shocks are the same as the a body mopar such as the 68 Barracuda and Dart. The shocks I like to use on the rear are Monroe Load Levelers, which are coil-over shocks and lift the back of the car slightly and give a little firmer rideThey cost around $80/pair including shipping. If your rear springs are a little worn out, or you load your trunk up, these overload springs will keep it where it is supposed to be. I bought mine from www.rockauto.com. They also sell original horn relays and front end parts for very reasonable prices. Front shocks are harder to come by. Get them from Andy Bernbaum at www.oldmoparts.com or Kanter etc.

Subject: [FWDLK] repairs

I am going to change the 4 shock absorbers on my 55. Any hints or pitfalls. What kind of shocks should replace the old ones? My car is all original except for the muffler. I want a better ride instead of original I think? Any help is appreciated.
