Well - I made my own special tool and it works great. I took an old medium screwdriver and welded a small bolt on the side of it about 1 inch from the end. I put the end of the screwdriver in the hole in the shoe right under the tab where the spring needs to go, and pull the spring with the side-bolt. I just hope all shoes have that hole under the tab. It helps to adjust the cam so the shoe is all the way in. '58 Plymouth - "Christine" '59 DeSoto '60 Imperial cnvt. '60 Fury cnvt. In Sunny S.
