Hi Ed - I checked the jacks. One has a tapered pole while the other is square. The mechanism has a curved area where it meets the bumper. The base is square as stated with the 3/8" letters AB - K located next to where the pole goes into the base. Also has the words PATENT PENDING in 5/16" letters on another side. I have two of these bases that are nearly identical, except one has a recess with a hole on one side. The other has an elongated hole 1 1/4" long with no recess. Does anyone else have similar jack or base ?
