A quick warning folks - today I
had an e-mail in my inbox disguised as a message from eBay saying I needed to
update my user information etc, including a link disguised to look as though it
goes to the eBay website (it doesn't).
The form, which looks quite
eBay-esque asks for all kinds of convenient information such as username,
password, name, birthdate, SSN, and credit card information. The e-mail actually
came from an e-mail address belonging to a Houston cable modem user, and the URL
the link takes you to is not an eBay URL. Consider yourself warned.
