I received a 61 Chrysler front sway eliminator assy from the parts car. Tried to install it to '61 DeSoto with no luck.. only find out the sway bar shaft from a New Yorker (obviously) or 300 did not fit to DeSoto. These models have longer front end. Naturally, I removed the assy. Does anybody have sway bar in a lower-cost Chrysler model like 60 Saratoga or 60-61 Windsor or 61 Newport? Or in a '60-61 DeSoto, Dodge, Plymouth? Was it rare or usual equipment in these models when they were new? And why the torsion bars had different part numbers, if the car was equipped with sway bar or without it?
