54 Dodges; I've been waiting for anyone else to mention that
(as confirmed by the undisputed 1955 Dodge Guru, Mike Petersen) 1955
Dodges, with the "Super Red Ram " hemi engine were known/observed to
have had (left-over) embossed valve covers , up until around/between the
build-dates of 1/31/55 & 3/29/55 , when the 'plain' valve covers were
1st seen to appear.
Also, the "Super Red Ram" decals , on the plain-covers should be of the
'slanted' style, rather than of the 'upright' font (see 8/91
Collectible Automobile).
One additional item: the spark plug wire-covers (in '55) were seen to be
painted either black, red or white, in their respective 'prominence' of
observation.
