Re: [FWDLK] vent window channels/trim clips/parts/faceplates

I got the window channel and lower sweeper felts from Andy Bernbaum http://www.oldmoparts.com/ Just call them and describe what
you want.

I was told that the 6.5" wheels are specifically
station wagon wheels. That's what I put on my '59 Coronet.
It had FORD wheels when I got it, and the lip on those won't
hold the Dodge wheelcovers.

Hello All,
I disassembled my vent windows for rechroming, polishing, sandblasting and painting. When I took them apart, I noticed there were the remains of a window channel/sweeper. They were badly rusted and all the material was gone. Does anyone know of a good source for these? They fit inside of the vent window frame. This would be for a '59 sedan.
I'm also looking for trim clips to hold the large roof rail moldings on a sedan.
While I'm at it, does anyone have one or two 14x6.5" wheels that they would like to part with? I purchased three off of a '59 New Yorker but I need two more as the others were rusted around the bead of the rim and I'm not risking it. Let me know. Also am I correct on that wheel size or did New Yorkers have 14x6" wheels. I need this confirmed.
As to the faceplates, I have the plates cut out but I'm looking for punches to cut out the switch holes. Does anyone know of a source for such punches? I have access to a machine that will punch the holes but I need the proper punches.
Thanks for all of your help guys and gals. Talk with you later.
Take Care,
Frank
