I learned how to drive on bias ply tires and I don't remember them being so bad. Sure can tell the difference today, though. Are there more grooves on the roads these days or what? Maybe the repro bias plies are not as good as the original ones? I have one set of Coker WWW radials and they seem to be fine, although I haven't put too many miles on them. At a recent show, a competing manufacturer told me that the tires Coker sells (all brands, including the B.F. Goodrich Silvertown radials) are made in Mexico by a bicycle tire company. Don't know if that's actually true or just some sales spiel.
