Hy Wayne and all the nice guys that replied to my question

was lucky enough to find two old Cars and Parts magazines with 2 Adventurers on them, and one had the C air cleaner. The corrct one had cleaners modified from std DeSoto units, so shoudn't be this difficult to modify the extra one that was in the deal. Now if I could find a perfect wheel cover !!! Any help here?

Its been a little while for me on this one but what I recall is that there is a difference in the length of the neck to the carburetor (shorter) on the Adventurer air cleaner and also the Adventurer cleaner has the top of the rim of the filter cover lightly dented from the factory.  Both are in order to provide hood clearance.
