If your 1973 Charger had LH nuts, they weren't put there by the
factory. The last year Chrysler used them on their cars was 1970.
And they were on the driver's (left) side of the car.

nuts
Hello,
Thanks for the FYI guys. I know my 73 Charger
has them on the driver's (or left) side. I took it in for an alignment
at a local shop and when I got it back it had 2 lugs on the front broken
off. The guy tried to tell me they were frozen and that he was a "mopar"
guy and knew about the nuts. Good trick considering I had just replaced
the ball joints and all the front suspension rubber pieces myself.
People like that I tell to go work on a Honda, and leave my blessed Mopars
alone. It was my fault though, I should have checked them out
better. Live and learn. As for the other parts, let me know when I
can get a kenueter
valve.

Well first of all, I believe the driver's side
is LH thread, not the passenger as the article indicates. Also, anybody who
calls themself a mechanic should be full aware that things go both ways like
that.
On another note, anyone know where I can get a
lower radiator hose for my Corvair? Or maybe some muffler
bearings?

has a
nicely written article regarding Chrysler's left hand threaded lug nuts and
explaining why the practice was dropped and where it came back
too!
Good reading.
