As most of you know i have been having trouble finding a rebuild kit for my steering gear! Most all of my contacts wanted me to send the gear in so that they could re-do the whole gear. The expense was outrageous!! We were talking a semi reasonable $200.00 plus shipping to $475.00 plus shipping. I had explained that i only needed the rebuild kit but nobody wanted to sell me one!! I tried to find nos product all over the U.S. but i could not . I almost caved in and sent out the gear! Then i got lucky on checking an e-bay item listing for a rebuilt gear which went from 29.99 to 225.00 real quick. I was high bid then e-bay pulled the listing for fraud!! Then i saw another listing for a rebuild kit!!!! Ahhhhh i was getting lucky!! I e-mailed the seller and he sold me a rebuild kit and steering coupler and upper seals delivered PRIORITY MAIL for $32.00!!!!!!(the rebuild by itself would have been only $9.95!!) The gentelman has a mopar !
parts business that specializes in older parts!! he is not a memeber of our club but i told him about it and he wants to join! Guys here is a guy who is not out to take advantage of people! Oh well thanks to all who answered my HELP e-mail!
