Me? I used WD-40; appears to work 'fine'. I also have used WD-40 (shot-into the small-hole, in its 'back') to lubricate my clock, too; clock has 'run' like a .... for several years, now. I've also had a trade-secret on how to adjust the accuracy of a clock, & here it is: to advance/retard the "timing" by one-minute-per-day, you just need to advance/retard the "hour-hand" by 12-hours. Five minutes/day, too fast? retard the clock backwards by 5 12-hour 'cycles' (or: vice-versa) Repeat til your clock's accuracy is frighteningly correct--mine is!
