Hi Richard and All, I would just add a final word that SMS was quick and exact when it came to the fabric reproduction, but I supposedly bought out the last of his run on red 1959 Sport Fury (this was 5+ years ago). At that time the owner said he would not be making any more. (I think he meant that he would wait for several orders to come in before resetting his looms for another batch of red Sport Fury). I also asked SMS to provide a color match for vinyl. The sample I received said "exact match", but in my opinion it didn't match the red in his own fabric. I sent it back and asked for another try. I received another match which was very close. Then I tried OAI. Their vinyl sample was an exact match to what I wanted, with the bonus that it was of thicker (longer-lasting) material. And upon request, OAI had the vinyl pressed with the correct "bison-grain" graining. In summation, they both have their strong and weak points.
