On a more positive note (positively COOL that is!) the same person also indicated that there is a strong possibility there will be a Dakota R/T sporting a Hemi maybe a year or 2 after it arrives in the full size trucks. Wee that would be fun! Joseph Bouboulis <Joseph_Bouboulis@ENGE To: L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx LHARD.COM> cc: Sent by: Forward Look Subject: Re: [FWDLK] The HEMI is reborn!!! Mopar Discussion List <L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxx su.edu> 02/19/02 10:33 AM Please respond to Joseph_Bouboulis As an aside to all those who are waiting for the new Hemi so they can hot rod it. I have it from a good source that the bottom end (especially the pistons) will not be able to take much more than the stock rated hp level. Evidently the bean counters took great exception to spending more money for slightly stronger parts. His exact words when I mentioned extracting more hp were: "It's guys like you who have us very worried". In their defense they tried to argue for better parts but the hp target was Chevy's LS1 (345 hp) and that's all the bean counters would allow for. brian <xm2cars@xxxxxxx> To: L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent by: Forward cc: Look Mopar Subject: Re: [FWDLK] The HEMI is reborn!!! Discussion List <L-FORWARDLOOK@list s.psu.edu> 02/16/02 04:10 PM Please respond to brian Hey, there will probably be a slew of hemis in PTs and everything else! I just pointed out that Chrysler won't be offering it in a Neon. Buy the hemi in a crate and it's yours to install in whatever you want!
