There are no real tricks to removint the torque converter, just pull off the sheetmetal cover on the bottom of the bellhousing (if you have one a lot of times they are missing. You may have t opull the starter to get the cover off i dont remember) Their are 4 bolts that attach the converter to the flex plate. pull one, turn the motor 1/4 turn, pull the next and so on.
