| List members, Please, please, no more "comments" about my blunder. I said up 
front I had no experience running 6v starters on 12v. I am very happy it can be done with no ill effects to the 
starter.    This reminds me of a story. I work in 
home remodeling and one of the electricians he hired mistakenly hooked the 
microwave ovencircuit to 220V. The homeowner said the microwave made a big POP, 
and smoked a bit. The electrician was obliged to buy the homeowner a 
new microwave oven. The same  dodo electrician hooked the 220V hot tub to 
110V! The digital tub controls would not work ,of course, until the hot tub 
specialist determined the problem and wired it correctly. The 
electrician denied that one, and the evidence was gone. Roger |
