Re: [FWDLK] Powerflite

Ran into a knowledgeable Mopar fellow last year at Iola Car Show (Mike Meier
from MN; some of you may know him - I know Mel does - He speaks highly of
you, Mel) We were talking 59 Plymouth transmissions (torqueflite) but
this info might pertain to other tranies also. He said when these cars are
stored for winter or sit for a spell the tranny fluid will drain out from
the torque converter into the pan causing an overfill and the excess will
drain out onto your garage floor causing you to think you have a leak when
you really don't. I remember last spring when I took mine out of storage
there was tranny fluid on floor. I then drove it a bit and brought the
fluid back up to the proper level and never had a problem in the 4800 miles
I put on it this past summer.
