I hear that is is an Airbus with over 200 people on board.
I have a friend the just bought a house right near there on 133rd st, just
heard that his family and home are ok. An eyewitness report said that it
missed the school and church right in the area.
It is a possible mechanical failure, something about loosing an engine.
Could have been an explosion, but you all know how the news reports fly in
these situations.
All NY bridges are shut down.

Subject: Passenger Plane Down in Queens
An American Airlines plane went down in the Rockaway Beach area, near the
Atlantic ocean around 9:15 this morning.
There is not, as yet, any word as to how many people were on board, what
the flight number was, or where it flew from. (American Airlines Flight
587,
a Boeing 767 from JFK to Santo Domingo)
More details to come as they break on http://www.NewsMax.com
