[FWDLK] anodizing-good experience pt.2

He said he'd do the best he could but he was quite honest and told me they won't exactly be show quality but, they'll look good from about 4-6' away. He says the better the condition of the items you send me, the better the results. He also said, I can repair quite alot of flaws but, remember that aluminum is a soft and thin metal and is very fragile in any state. He also said that the sporttone inserts are not a problem as he does them all of the time. He also said he could anodize them in gold if I wanted. I declined as I will stay with the original silver (but this may help you folks out there with "Golden Fins"). He gave me a total of $1200 for everything including disassembling and reassembling the grille plus, return shipping. I received the order back four weeks later. He did an excellent job on everything except the aforementioned sill plates. I hold this to no fault of his own, he did the best he could. I guess I was just hoping for a miracle of sorts. The best work can be seen on the grill and the sporttone inserts. They are incredible! The shine on the inserts look brighter than chrome, and the grille looks NOS! He even replaced all of the fasteners that I sent in with the order. I couldn't believe my eyes, the fasteners were exactly like the originals. If he didn't replace them he did one hell of a job restoring them because I can't tell the difference. In any case I would highly recommend him. So, if your Sportone is looking dull or your grille is, give him a try and tell him ForwardLook Frank on the Forwardlooknet told you about him. . I don't think you'll regret it.
