The mirror shown which is part number 1607967 is absolutely correct.  Sold
for 3.95 originally.

Now if you wanted the expensive one its part number is 1599701 and it sold
for 4.25.

this data is from page a-7 of the 55 Accessories manual D-15116

Curiously the upper price unit angles backward instead of forward as the
lower price one does.  Both are for Door mount.

Both are single arm bases and fasten to the fender using one screw and one
additional hole for the locating pin in the front.

The more expensive one is like the later ones which are used 56 up and they
have the base angling forward instead though and are quite common(relative
term!)
