Hi all, Well, I finally have gotten busy on the Suburban. I removed the engine and trans last week, took the fenders and hood into the body shop a few weeks ago. The front bumper and wings are in getting rechromed, and I now have nearly all the body panels stripped. I actually have gotten as far as to get the roof primed. This paint stripping is for the birds, but I am going to stay after it and get it over with. I am now convinced the "Aircraft" type stripper is the best way to go. The other thing I want to mention on strippers is the air temperature. If the temp is in the 70's to 80's, and some humidity, it works the best. I am now in search of a windshield in very good condition. If anyone can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. It is for a 59 Plymouth Suburban. Just for your info, I sold the 318 and Powerflite. Have a great day, John in WI |
