Hi, As Hugh i've some problem with my 392 (in addition to the kickdown problem ..related ? ): it is sluggish, i can't go over 65 mph ! The tests i made last week were in town so i don't pay attention to some lazy breakdown at lights, i was too happy to cruise with my car. But yesterday i made a 40 miles test on open road. Deception ! the car is less responsive than my '58 Dynaflow-Buick ... When i push the gas pedal, the car accelerate slowly (trans. upshifts well) and max. speed is around 60 - 65 mph. If ther's a coast, the car slows down and temp. gauge climbs after the middle (i am an "overheating" specialist !). The engine runs well but it seems that it couldn't climbs in rpm. I'll make a test with a tachometer next week. I have some ideas: - engine is sludged (as was my 4 sparkplugs) after 120 miles of idle during last years in my garage. - The secondary barrels (vacuum controlled on WCFB) don't open. - The mechanical advance (governor) doesn't work. -- Philippe COURANT (Pau, France) Imperial 57 Crown convertible Buick 58 Roadmaster sedan - American Car Club de France (ACCF) : http://www.accf.com - Chrysler Imperial France : http://www.ifrance.com/c-i-f - Cadillac " Standard of Excellence " : http://www.ifrance.com/accf-cad - SportsCars : http://www.ifrance.com/accf-sprtcar
