Still recuperating from 4 days at the Iola Car Show. Its
either too hot or it rains. No rain this year, but too hot. Of particular
interest, there was one fellow there who brought 18 to 20 of his cars to
display. 12 of these were Mopars. Here is a list of what he had on
display: 58 Dodge Regal Lancer.....59 Dodge Coronet......60 Dodge
Phoenix......62 Dodge Polara 500, 361 HP......57 Chrysler New Yorker.....59
Chrysler Crown Imperial Convertible....62 Crown Imperial Convertible.....57
DeSoto Fireflite 2 dr hdtp....58 DeSoto Adventurer.....59 DeSoto Firesweep 361
V8.......61 Ply Fury and lastly, my favorite a 59 Plymouth Sport Fury. All
these cars are in top show condition. One of the best deals in the
Car Corral (cars for sale) was a 61 Imperial South Hampton 4 dr ht for
$3950. It sold quickly for 3950. The car was in excellent original
condition. I found a few parts for my 59 Plymouth Sport Fury; taillight
lens and backup lens, trunk weatherstripping, windlace, engine decals.
Bought lens for 2 for 5$. The lady said the Plymouth was not a popular car
so she was unloading these parts. I almost bought some for $10 a peice from
a fellow down the way. Anyway that swap meet is so huge that I'm sure I
left some parts there for John in Neilsville, so he better be there next
year. John Z in Mosinee, WI
