As of
four years ago, the cheapest I could get the dies made for '58 air cleaners was
$11,000 for the tops, and $2,800 for the bases. Then, once you have the
dies, there's a setup cost for the stamper, and all associated stamping
expenses... I believe at the time we'd need a 75-pair break-even point -- at
around $500 a pair.... This is a

is there anyone out there yet stamping out the
dual quad aircleaners for the 58s yet? If not, lets all chip in and have
it done, this is rediculous, a lot of us need them, the dies
cant cost that much.
