Re: [FWDLK] 1956 Chrysler 300B die cast model

$35 is way too much. I've seen Maisto models sell as cheap as $13, but that's a rare find. Most toy store carry them for $16-18, and hobby stores sell them for $18-25. It took a while for me to fid the 300B, but they're out there. You also could take your chances on E-bay. It was also modeled after a car belonging to one of the members of this list.

Subject: [FWDLK] 1956 Chrysler 300B die cast model

FYI,

I just received a junk mail catalog with a Chrysler 300B die cast model in it. The model is "approximately 10 inches long", 1/18 scale. The photo is white with chrome Mopar wire wheels and tan interior. The text claims "such features as detailed interiors, movable wheels and steering, opening doors, hood, and trunk, detailed engines. Colors may vary, no choice." There are about two dozen model types, but no other ForwardLook related.

To me, the photo looks pretty good and well worth the price of $29.98 plus $4.95 shipping. If anyone is interested in ordering, the info is:
Johnson Smith Company
1-800-843-0762, 24 hrs
catalog #JE149A51
item HV-23601

I found their web site. There is a photo at www.johnsonsmith.com   There is a search box for the item number. I have no connection with this company.
