Ken, I bought new custom made pushrods from Smith Brothers Push Rods, 541-388-8188. They were $80 for a set of 16 each 3/8 tubular rods in 1990. Stock types are also available. Just send them a sample of the old ones for them to copy the length and end style. Your intake and exhaust are the same, P/N: 1407 124. If you are rebuilding the engine, stock lengths are ok, but if the heads and block are milled for clean up, the rockers refaced, and the head gasket is a different thickness, you could adjust the length slightly to compensate for a perfect preload adjustment on the lifters. I need to replace the push rods in my 56 Dodge 315 CID Poly engine. Can anyone help with a part number or exact length?
Is there ant advantage to going to a 3/8" tube instead of the 5/16" stock size? This car will be a "drive it to church on Sunday" car, not a racer. I am still concerned about flexing of the push rod.
Thanks.
