IIRC there were multiple (did I hear the number 18?)
'58 Plymouth 2drHTs used/destroyed in the making of
"Christine". I saw a pic of one of them from an angle
that was not used in the movie, and that one clearly
still had Savoy chrome on the off-camera side...

Meanwhile, my hat's off to director John Carpenter,
who corrected at least one of King's egregious errors
by showing Arnie working the pushbuttons in one
scene...
