[FWDLK] Master cylinder rebuild kit

Hi,
There's a NOS master cylinder rebuild kit for sale on eBay, which bears
#1881986, and is advertised for '55-'58 Mopars. The problem is that my
'55-'58 parts book (1961 edition) don't list it. A #1881987 rebuild kit is
the closest one.
How would I know if this rebuild kit was relisted under this new number ?
Or maybe someone can confirm to me that it's suitable for a '58 Plymouth
with PB ?
And by the way, what do you think about rebuilding a master cylinder with 43
year-old parts ?
