Hi all, I had the seats for my wagon re-done in the past few weeks. When I went to pick them up, the guy that recovered them asked when I was bringing in the door panels. I told him, as soon as I can get the window and door handles off. He reached in a drawer, and said I should use this. He had the correct tool for removing the old Mopar door and window handles with the square shafts and springy clip. It is a snap ring pliers type thing with forks on one side and a little lip type thing on the other that pushes on the clip...wahla...they come right off. I am wondering where I can get one or more of these made...anyone out there interested in one? Probably be cost prohibitive! The interior guy told me he did not even know he had the tool when he did his 59 Ply. His dad, who owned the shop for nearly 50 years, asked him how he liked the tool after he took his cranks and handles off with a screwdriver. Anyone interested in a photo of this tool? I could probably get one in the next few days. After much personal debate, I am leaning towards having another fwdlk logo program made. I am getting a fair amount of interest in the sideways logo, but I am still holding caps of the other style for people that did not follow through with their orders. I really do not need 50 caps for my noggin! John in WI where spring comes but 20 or 30 times a year and abruptly leaves |
