Responding to C. Rollins:  The '57 Saratoga had a poly engine, but is a rare
model, and well worth restoring. As for prices, Just about Everything for
these beauties is "absurdly expensive". Restoring and lovingly keeping an
antique car is the wrong hobby if one wants to be cost effective.

It's the grace of the Forwardlook, and the uncensored excitement generated on
the onlookers faces, that make it all worth while. Young people who never saw
one before yell "nice car!" ...You just can't set a price on that.

  Hi- I'm planning to go look at a 57 Saratoga 4dr without motor & I'm led to
believe the 354 hemi was the original unit. Is this an item I'm likely to
locate and if I do would it be absurdly expensive? Or should I just think in
terms of a no lead 440 from the 70s? Thanks!  Chris Rollins  South Amherst
