Title: RE: [FWDLK] Wolfman Jack's sounds weak

There are two issues to consider when troubleshooting an antenna.  The first is the make sure the ground of the antenna and radio are solid and the mast of the antenna is not grounded.  The second is tuning the trimmer capacitor.  This is located near where the antenna wire goes into the radio.  Tune in a weak station and fully extend the antennas.  Adjust capacitor with a screwdriver for best reception.

The sounds of my DeSoto's original AM radio are rather weak at night
(the best time to listen mediumwaves). I noticed when I touched one
of my dual rear antennas with hand, that the radio got much louder
voice then. Bad ground??         MTL - Bad to the Bone
