Over the weekend on our way to a swap we found a neat 1960 Plymouth Record of all things. Steve Allen/Monday nights is the title. Shows Steve with his new 60 Plymouth on the cover and has a shot of him sitting in the passenger side swivel seat holding a bunch of Hiway hi-fi records on the rear. Plymouth was his sponsor and had just moved him to Mondays it seems. The item must have been a dealership item I'd guess but who knows. Picked it up hoping someone here would be interested in it. Let me know if you are. Can't believe I found it but it was the front of a stack of records and the smiley Plymouth shot jumped out at me!! Write off group if interested. Thanks. Happy to trade for unusual 55 Chrysler items of course. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike Sealey <mopar2ya@xxxxxxxxx> To: <L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, September 11, 2000 2:21 AM Subject: Re: [FWDLK] 60 Plymouth For Sale > --- ALIENVOICE@xxxxxxx wrote: > > > Listing in local paper (Akron, Ohio) offered a '57 > > Belvedere, Upon inspection, it is actually a '60 > > Belvedere. > > Well, after all, when you're in a '57 Plymouth, > suddenly, it's 1960... > > (That slogan came back to bite Plymouth in '60; at > least one of the car magazines opened its story, which > centered on the '60 repeating the basic Plymouth theme > of the last four years, under the heading "Suddenly, > it's 1957!"
