I went to the local Army surplus store and bought a pair of Tanker goggles
and a full face helmet liner for about $15 total. It stays on your head
while you crawl around under the car, keeps your hair out of the grease and
dirt, and protects your eyes and skin from falling toxic waste.  It breathes
well, doesn't get too hot, and makes you look like a real psycho when you
crawl out from under the car when someone stops by. (Remember the pyromaniac
in "The Stand"?)
