I asked Robert Bishop,he's on the list,if
he could indentify the oilfilter housing I have bought recently.
It does not fit on my 55 plymouth ,this one fits 1956 to 1958 plymouth
V8.(see what Robert wrote me.)

Regarding the oil filter housing, see the
attached picture. This is a part that was for sale on eBay. Notice
that it has the same large diameter threaded bolt as yours and the same yellow
and red decal. I checked the part number 1557573 in my 55-58 MoPar parts
book and it says that it fits '56 to '58 Plymouth V8 and probably fits later
years also. It may also fit some Dodge trucks. The part number for
the correct oil filter housing for our '55 Plymouths is 1533530. "
What I want to know is anyone on the list interested in it ?,or if you want
to make an Exchange for a 1955 oil filter housing,let me know before putting it
on Ebay.
