[FWDLK] Ebay Adventurer

Hi Forward Lookers,

There has been some mention on the list today about the 1957 DeSoto
Adventurer currently on Ebay. A couple of years ago I'm sure I saw this
car while traveling in southeastern Oklahoma. It is part of a large
collection. Some of the cars in the collection were of very high
quality. When I saw the fins of the DeSoto, I became quite excited. The
1957 Adventurer is probably my favorite FL model. But as I got closer,
my excitement faded. The biggest problem is that the car did not have
the hi-rise rear window that I have seen on virtually every other 1957
Adventurer coupe.

I became suspicious of whether this was a real Adventurer or a Firedome
in gold and white trim with an Adventurer engine. However, I never spoke
to the owner of the collection, so I cannot comment any further.

Has anyone on the list ever seen or heard of a real 1957 Adventurer
coupe without the hi-rise rear window?
