Hi Scott - Thanks for mentioning my page. For $100, I'd jump on it no matter what shape it's in. If nothing else, it would make an excellent parts car for another one that may come along, since the convertible-only parts are hard to come by). There's actually a 57 Ply conv for sale on the web, for about $1000. I don't have the web site right now (if you're interested, I'll get it for you). Maybe you can use two to make one. When you say you have experience, have you MIG or TIG welded sheetmetal ? That will be your greatest challenge. Don't try to arc-weld the metal or you'll mess up the whole thing. Also how much time do you have available ? If you're married with kids and have a job that makes you work 50+ hours a week, then you should plan for a 10 year or more project. Don't think it can be done in a year or two. Just my 2 cents, based on experience.
