[FWDLK] [Fwd: Nordstrom's ad]

Hi All,
I just thought I would send a brief message to Fallon about the
Nordstrom shoe ad, and have attached it to this post...
I also watched some oldie the other night with Doris Day and James
Garner in which they sink a 58 Chev convert in a swimming pool, this is
after they rear ended it with a 61? Dart?!! I guess the list will go on
an on!
I also wanted to say, I purchased a VHS tape with 2 hours of
commercials and road tests of Forward Look cars. After viewing this
tape, I think I know why Plymouth wasn't the best seller in '59! If you
weren't a fan of Lawrence Welk, you had better have been drinking the
bubbles to be able to stomach the commercials.

Hi,
Just a line, to say the ad you developed for Nordstrom Shoe Co., in
which you crush a '57 Cadillac, definitely got my attention.
Though, I am disappointed you went to the extreme of destroying a piece
of Americana.
I am in the process of restoring a 1959 Plymouth, and thought your
company could get together with Nordstroms, and help restore my car and
use it in an ad. The lady in the ad could say something like..."I'll
help you with your old collector car dear, if I can just have that pair
of Nordstrom shoes I saw today"! I think that would help sooth over the
sore spot you and Nordstrom shoes have created in the hearts of
America's car buffs, as well as bring a bit of Americana back to life.
I will be waiting for your reply, and your restoration crew. Those
bright red tailfins should look real nice on a television ad! Don't you
agree?
