Hi All, Hope everyone had happy holidays. Here's a couple of things in no particular order... 1) Wal-Mart is now stocking the AMT Slammer Fury on their shelves. I visited 2 Wal-Marts and they both had the space labeled on the shelf. I'm guessing that they're all pretty much the same across the country... If you're interested, it's a blown 58 "Fury" (actually Belvedere) snap-together kit. I got mine for like $7.94 each. 2) Also at Wal-Mart, on the $6.44 movie stand, was a copy of the Temptations movie that aired in 1998 on NBC. It's got my '58 Savoy-vedere in a couple of scenes. =) 3) While my '86 Mercury froze over and my borrowed '99 GMC truck automatically locked its keys in itself (great feature, eh? auto-locks?) Christmas morning, the Plymouth fired right up on the first try in 8 degree weather. 'Nuff said. 4) The first 50 calendars were done last Sunday & sent on Monday and Tuesday. The remaining 100 are still MIA. Next year I'm going to print them myself again. The quality was roughly the same, but there won't be as many hassles. That's the last time I do business with "Chico's Discount Printing & Bail Bonds". The envelopes are addressed and stamped... the calendars will be out the door the minute I get them. On the plus side, they're cutting our price a bit, so we get a bit more for the treasury. 5) For any of you interested in my other project, check out http://www.camarades.com/userpage.php3?resource=945530500/ . It's a live webcam in my garage. You'll see the back of the DeLorean sitting in a usually dark garage. Sometimes you see me looking frustrated and wondering why I ever bought a British car. Other times you see the Plymouth in the garage for a warm bath. 6) The Forward Look website isn't Y2K compliant. I never got around to researching the packages I'd need to install to do so. Hopefully I'll get some time this week to look into it. I'm tempted to leave it as-is, just to see what happens. =/ 7) Someone asked recently about clutch components... I have a Borg-Warner catalog here, and our year MoPars are extremely well-covered from 55-61. Email me if you need part numbers. They should be available at any good parts store. -Dave |
