Yes, Ambulance and Hearses built on Mopar platforms are rare since they were built in very limited #s. by the Memphis Coach Co. Being a Professional Car Society member I get the bi-monthly newsletter and every once in a while one of these come up for sale.(not cheap). would love to get ahold of one myself although I'm currently restoring a 62' Buick Ambulance. S. LOUTHAN ---------- From: Dave Warnick <dwarnick@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [FWDLK] A rare 57 De Soto Date: Tuesday, August 24, 1999 7:45 AM I happened to see a picture in the local paper on Sunday that I thought would interest some of you. It shows a 1957 De Soto Firesweep Memphian Ambulance. Unfortunately the picture is small and not in color. It was taken at the 23rd meeting of the Professional Car Society's International Meet. This group evidentally features amblances and hearses. The De Soto is owned by Dawson Blackmore Jr. of Hamden, Conn. Can you imagine how hard it is finding parts for an ambulance. This one looks first class. _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Visit http://www.msn.com |
