AFAIK Chrysler didn't use letters for body styles until
'65, altho in some cases enthusiasts have assigned
letters retroactively back to '62 ('60 for A-bodies).
If I had to classify a '60 Matador, I'd call it a C-body
since its closest post-'62 relatives structurally ('62
Chrysler and '62-'64 Dodge 880, with a less direct
relationship to the '63-'64 Chryslers) are closer to
C-bodies than anything else.
A-body = Valiant/post-'63 Dart/Lancer/DeSoto Rebel
B-body = '62 Dart/Polara/Polara 500
'63-'64 220/330/440/Polara/Polara 500
'65 Coronet (all)
'62-'64 Savoy/Belvedere/Fury/Sport Fury
'65 Belvedere I/II/Satellite
C-body = '65 Chrysler (all) (Imperial separate make)
'65 Polara/Polara 500/Custom 880/Monaco
'65 Savoy(Canada)/Fury I/II/III/Sport Fury
D-body = '57-66 Imperial
Sorry for venturing past the Fwd>>Look years, and hope
this helps.
