Chrysler Corporation vehicles, whether using 118", 122" or 126" wheelbase in the 1957-1962 era, all used the same cowl and front floor pan structure. The 122" vehicles had the rear axle pushed 4" back, and had longer rear doors and different rear quarter panels. The stretch to 126" was done by lengthening the hood 4". The 122" floor pan was the basis for all Chryco/Mopar wagons. (Fireflite, New Yorker and 1957 Windsor wagons used the same body but with the 4" longer hood for 126" wheelbase) Windshields were thus common for all 3 wheelbases, although the convertible usually used a different windshield from the other body styles. There were differences from year to year, though, for both windshields and trim mouldings. Some part numbers for windshield mouldings : 1960 1961 1962 Finish side R - 2196 270 2240 769 2165 456 L - 2196 271 2240 770 2165 457 Upper 2196 873 2240 768 2217 040 Lower Centre 2084 997 2084 997 1909 595 Lower End R - 2196 272 2196 272 1954 702 L - 2196 273 2196 273 1954 703 Windshield 1869 627 2165 418 2165 418 " solex 1954 216 2165 419 2165 419 These parts will fit all 118", 122" and 126" wheelbase models of those years, with the exception of the convertible in some instances. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rich Lee <exner60@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, July 03, 1999 7:27 AM Subject: Re: [FWDLK] 1961 300G windshield external top trim > The 1960 Windsor has a 122" wheelbase.
