I wonder if any one can give me some information on Brake parts
for my Dodge
Mayfair '57 (4 door Hard Top) Canadian.
Your Mayfair is a D65-3 model and, according to the MoPar Passenger
Cars Parts List 1957
(printed in Canada and bought from Ken Mc Gee)) the drums & hubs
are different than US
model:
Rear wheel hub and brake drum assembly: Canadian D65 # 1633 080 &
81. US (P30/31): 1732
330 & 31
Front wheel hub & brake assembly: Canadian D65:# 1633 078 &
79. US Plymouth (P30/31): 1732
328 & 29
Rear and front wheel drum: Canadian D65: # 1732 496 (11"). US (P30/31):
1732 333
The attaching parts (bolt, stud) are also different
Other parts like wheel cylinders, linings etc.. are the same but according
to size of
drums (10" or 11").
I think that wheels are also different: on manual it seems that US model
have 14 x 5 wheel
and Canadian have 14 x 5 1/2 wheel
