I use Dexron in my 57 Ply. trans. and steering and also in my 54 Packard trans., so far no problem. In the dist. with a grease cup I use reg. bearing grease. In the gen., starter and dist. if it has an oil cup I use 20w. non-detergent oil. Detergent motor oils can wash the graphties out of the bushings in the starters, generators and distributors. Paul A.
