The speed limit in Canada is 62.5 mph or 100 km on all 400 series
highways (401,400, 416 etc) The rest is are 80 km or approx 50 mph.
In reality if you drive 70 mph on the 400 series or 55mph no one will
bother you. They also don't generally bother out of country cars because
it is too difficult to prosecute them. We don't have instant fine paying
etc but you would never be able to return if you didn't pay.If you drive
normal , move WITH the traffic , don't cut in and out, never holler or
yell at anyone and above all keep your fingers to yourself you will not
get in trouble. One other tip for all those traveling in Canada is to
remember while Canadians like most Americans we do not worship them nor
wish to be one. We are very happy and proud of what and who we are
despite our laid back approach to it. If one remembers this country was
founded by folks who left yours some 200 years ago and all will be fine.
I hope you enjoy your visit and have a good time
