Regarding matching frame and motor numbers, this is NOT true in all forwardlook cars. The frame number appears on the right side of the frame AHEAD of the right rear wheel in 1957 and I believe '58. Not sure about '59. With the commencement of unit-construction cars in 1960, I am not aware of any number anywhere on the front or rear subframe units.
