Phil writes: The starter is probably worn out and in need of
rebuilding/replacement. When a starter gets old, it requires more amperage then
when new. This explains why you need more then one battery to turn it over. Try
bleeding the brakes, sometimes you can get air trapped and the master cylinder
won't pump up. If that doesn't help, it looks like you need to repair/replace
the master cylinder as well.
