Can anybody tell me whether a 8 3/4 sure grip with a "489 case" out of a 72 Mopar (which I have the opportunity to purchase, 3.31 gears) will be compatible with the standard, non-sure-grip differential out of a 57 Plymouth. I would like to convert my standard diff to a sure-grip. It will be the only thing on my restoration that will be unoriginal, but as it is not seen, I figure it is a must have option for my Plymouth. Any thoughts? Glenn.
