  One more question, Ford-Chevy-Plymouth all started 1955 with modern OHV
V8 engines, Plymouths was the one with the most standard Horsepower right
out of the gate, but to counter-act this, Ford and Chevy soon increased HP
figures.  The ratings were compared with the 240 V8, not the 260 V8... The
240 being the standard V8.  All published reports now refer to the highest
figure, which was mid year, Does anyone know the ORIGINAL figures on the
Chevy and Ford? All of the earlier Plymouth adds state "Highest standard
horsepower in its field. "  What were Chevys and Fords ratings upon
introduction?
