How do you handle that? I just picked up a 57 Plaza 2 door club sedan that I am going to put a 413 in. ( jade green and sand dune white that matches my 57 hardtop) I have a 62 trans that I would like to use. My thought was to possibly use a newer trans, put a shifter on the floor and look for a pushbutton delete plate. Any thought on this? >> Yes, the '62-64 cars did have the second cable for the parking pawl, as did the '65's, which allowed for a slip-spline front u-joint. You'll need to use a '62-64 button assembly, which has the interlinked park lever. When you pull the park lever down, it engages the parking pawl, and moves the manual valve in the valve body into the neutral position, automatically engaging the neutral button. I'm not too sure about the Dodge and Chryslers, but the '62 and '63 Plymouth button assy's were slanted, where the '64's were verticle, and more square... probably easier to adapt. The Chrysler and Dodge units may offer something more readily adapted to your car, either horizontal or clustered. Let me know how you make out! Steve
