You are talking about the metal cup that went under the sparkplug on the flatheads in the 49-54 era i believe. They had the red boot? I have nos 49 T&C with all original everything and no red boot. The Bernbaum items were remade not NOS? I have never had any trouble with any of the MoPar originals i have on my cars. I have a number of the NOS original replacement sets but need to keep them for my many 49-50s which i have to do. ---------- From: Jesus M. I took them off and the problem disappeared right away. It seems like the boot is made out of some rubber composite that acts as a conductor at a high temperature--Strange--It was a waste of money---So much for inferior quality parts!-- If anybody else knows where to get the "real spark plug boots" let me know-- My car has the original red boot or cap on the No. 1 plug wire but I don't know who carries that---- Jesus
